Curious's opinions on blogs

I get a blog, you get a Blog, We all get Blogs!!!

Have you ever wanted to know how to go from rags to riches and own a multi-billionaire business? Or you wanted to learn more about what's been trending in the music scene lately to catch all the new artists? In the days of technology, a blog may be a resourceful guide to find your answer and more! In today's post, I will give you a quick rundown of two different blogs and what are my opinions about them.

Blogs are very entertaining and informal. They can educate people on one or more subjects, and sometimes, it's easier to read a blog than an article because it gets straight to the point. I mostly use them for recipes, but with the link I was provided, I saw a range of blogs I could use later on. For example, if I wanted to find news about the latest music, new artists, and information about concerts, I could use Billboard.

The sound of music

Billboard is a professional/ casual blog that informs its audience about musical artists and the musical business. The blog is very organized once you see past the clutter of ads. All essential themes, charts, music, culture, business, and media can be accessed from the top of the page, but by scrolling to the bottom of the page, you can access fun articles featuring some of your favorite artists.

The format for this blog fits into the business and news category because, yes, this blog does talk about new music and artists. However, it also discusses news about that artist and industry information. Someone like me would enjoy this blog because I love listening to music and looking for a new sound every day, but if music isn't something you enjoy, this blog might not be for you.

Occasionally, a reader might come across a blog that doesn't fit their taste of literature, and that's perfectly okay! For me, that blog was a Business insider.

Let's talk business.

A blog I did not find interesting was Business Insider because I don’t find business blogs about stock entertaining.

It was organized like the others, but the lack of color and space made the blog feel boring. The audience for this blog is business officials hoping to learn more about starting a business and how to run a successful one properly.

I wouldn’t have found this blog interesting because it's not a subject I want to learn about, but this does not mean it's not resourceful. Potentially, later on in life, if I was interested in learning about Medicare or tech, I could return to Business Insider to get information about current medicine.

Despite my two different feelings about the two separate blogs, please do not let this sway you from doing your own research and interacting with this new age of reading. Various subjects are out there to write about, so it's impossible to find a blog that doesn't pique your interest. I think mine could be one of them. See you next time, curious adolescent signing off.

  1. Your practice entry looks good and has a nice layout and organization. You have a clear understanding of the necessary parts of a post: setup, point, and sign off. You've also done a great job with your links but don't forget to include citation/image source information for any images.
